Online Dating agencies have been proven to offer people a “surprisingly high” chance of a longer-term romance.
94% of UK online dating agency customers questioned met with their “e-partner” again after the first live meet. This figure supports the theory that many people see dating sites as an ideal way to filter the large amount of choice prior to commiting to a face to face meet.
Bath University psychologist, Jeff Gavin, surveyed 229 adults, and identified that internet dating worked “for many people”.

In the olden days the process of dating was an excruciating one. Firstly you would have to meet, and plucking up the courage to actually ask someone out was not an easy thing, never mind deciding what to wear on your first date!
Well not anymore.
The webcam dating revolution is here and it is changing the way we meet new people forever. First there were the personal ads in the paper, which couldn’t have been less personal, and then there was the dating website. But now we don’t even need to sign up, it is simply a matter of recording your video and uploading it on to the web, and hey presto, your virtual dating has begun!
There are chatrooms and websites specifically for webcam dating and even if you’re not in the market for a relationship they can be an excellent way of making new friends. Either way you can wear as many outfits as you like – redo your make up whenever you need and always, always get your best side.
Analyst Brent Iadarola of Frost & Sullivan said, “I think people are more comfortable with online dating, and it’s generally been accepted…”
There will soon be a whole generation of people who met their partners or their friends over the internet; fell in love over their webcams; and had their first arguments or broke up in a chatroom. In fact you can conduct an entire relationship over a webcam from the corner of your living room. The only thing you can’t do is start a family!!

It is amazing how much the internet has changed our lives. We no longer have to go to a real shop, we can go to a virtual one; we no longer need to go to a library, we just google it; and we no longer have to go out on the town to meet the man of our dreams, we can simply do it online.
Internet dating has taken over the way we meet new people; from friends to lovers, the best way to find out who might be out there for us is to log on. And the competition between websites has become so great that we no longer have to pay for the service. We can simply sign up for free.
“In a new survey by the Pew Internet & American Life Project, there are two central findings that illustrate how important the internet has become for those seeking romance in 21 st Century America: First, among the relatively small and active cohort of 10 million internet users who say they are currently single and looking for romantic partners, 74% say they have used the internet in one way or another to further their romantic interests. Second, there is relatively broad public contact with the online dating world because significant numbers of Americans personally know others who have tried and succeeded at online dating. Some 15% of those in this survey of the general public – representing about 30 million Americans – say they know someone who has been in a long-term relationship or married someone they met online. Twice as many know someone who has at least dabbled in the online dating scene.”
The online dating scene is indeed changing the way relationships start and we can now conduct entire relationships without ever having to meet. There is no longer the uncomfortable first conversation; we can check out there profile and if they take our fancy maybe talk in a chatroom, or even see them over a webcam, making it virtually impossible to pretend to be someone you’re not.
Online dating has revolutionized the way we socialise and by having the ability to meet that special someone from the comfort of our living room we are much more open to meeting new friends as well as partners. This makes the dating scene a much more versatile place, and helps us make friends in chatrooms and on webcams that we might never have met before the dawn of the internet.
